A Legacy Since 1924

The House of SilverStone

A centennial dedication to silent luxury, structural strength, and hand-finished Italian leatherwork. Sculpted to endure.

Our Origin Story

A Saddle, A Stitch, A Centennial

Founded in the heart of Florence in 1924, SilverStone began as a small family-owned saddlery. Our founder, Giorgio SilverStone, believed that a product's true value lies in its silent power—the invisible reinforcement, the exact angle of a welt, and the rich depth of hand-painted aniline dyes.

Over the decades, we transitioned our master leatherworking expertise from equestrian saddlery to fine footwear and architectural leathergoods. Today, every shoe, bag, and belt leaving our workshop represents a centennial of refined lines and quiet distinction.

"True luxury does not shout; it is a whisper that endures over a lifetime of steps."

Commitment to Excellence

The Three Pillars of Our Craft

architecture

Architectural Form

We design with structural integrity at our core. Every heel counter, arch support, and leather crease is mathematically aligned to support natural alignment, maintaining its posture and comfort over a lifetime of wear.

Artisan Materials

We select only certified full-grain box calf hides and aniline leathers from historic Tuscan tanneries. Treated with vegetable tannins and hand-buffered patinas, the leather breathes, adapts, and ages uniquely with you.

Centennial Longevity

Using traditional Goodyear-welted and hand-turned sole construction, our products are built for resoling and restoration. A SilverStone product is not a seasonal accessory—it is an heirloom designed to endure.

The Finest Hides

Sourced Ethically. Tanned Naturally.

Our commitment to quiet luxury extends deep into our sourcing process. We exclusively partner with audited tanneries in Tuscany that practice sustainable vegetable tanning methods. This centuries-old organic process uses chestnut, quebracho, and oak extracts to preserve the leather without heavy chemicals.

The result is a leather of unparalleled depth and character that carries a natural patina. It reacts to light, touch, and rain, telling the story of your journeys over time.
